3rd/4th July 2010 11am – 5pm £3.50 adults / accompanied children under 16 free.
Once again keen gardeners in Hunmanby will be opening their garden gates to raise
funds for Hunmanby in Bloom.
Over the weekend of the 3rd & 4th July there will be some lovely gardens open to
the public. Each garden is very special to its owners and people will have a chance
to see some smashing gardens. Each garden is very different so if you want to be
inspired this is an event not to be missed.
Some gardens will also be running plant stalls so if you need to get some plants
to bring colour to your own garden then come along. There will be light lunches
available in one owner’s garden.
The work of the young bloomers will be on show as Hunmanby Primary School will be
opening its grounds to welcome visitors where the children have been very busy creating
amongst others things a willow classroom.
Our younger visitors are no forgotten, a Teddy Bear hunt is taking place over the
weekend. Children have to find the teddy bears hidden in each garden, those who
find each bear will receive a small prize.
On Sunday, we will be holding a gardeners question time session where experts from
Scarborough Borough Council will be available to answer your horticultural questions.
Tickets will be on sale in Bayley Gardens, near All Saints Church, on each day from
10.30am.
